Everyone can hit times in their life when things just aren't going
as planned and we want to be able to help you keep food on the table
for your special dog or cat companion. Angels has limited supplies
of dog & cat food that are available to help those in crisis. This
service is free of charge and is possible through the generosity of
local food suppliers.

So May is
here & we have an occupancy permit for our Vet Clinic in the
Wing!! We are so excited to offer this wonderful asset to the
animals of the region. A big beautiful lobby and reception
area, 8 exam rooms, separate dog & cat waiting areas & x-ray,
just to start off! Soon, we will also offer general surgery!
All of this awesome will have its soft opening May 3rd. We
still need 2.8 million to finish the whole project. There are
still many naming opportunities & square feet to purchase. We
still give tours of the "Wing" every Saturday at 1 pm. There
will be an awesome party for all the "Wing" donors, Sunday
June 14th from 1-4 pm.
The past weekend would have been
our Gigantic Garage Sale at the Canfields Fairgrounds. Of
course, not only did it not happen, the Shelter did not
receive the huge financial boost which is 7% of our operating
budget. As you may have heard, we are doing an online sale at
Baerauction.hibid.com. It will go online May14th. There will
be an in person preview May 23rd from 10-4 at the Hay & Grain
Building #26 at the Canfield Fairgrounds. The sale will end
Wednesday, May 27th at 7 pm.
There are a lot of
questions about donations. We would love to have items for the
sale donated but….they have to be the type of item that is
suitable for this type of sale. We can't sell most clothing,
or any volume items like we sell at the Garage Sale.
The items have to be photographed, described and
catalogued. It is a lot of work & the items have to be worth
the effort. To do this process, it also has to have enough
appeal to get someone to buy it from a photograph. Anyone who
has an item that is suitable, can call me or Robin.
We have had some people
step up to our monthly donation program. Here is a few
reminders about financial donations- 1.) We need them this
year more than ever. 2.) There are many ways to do it. Keep in
mind credit cards & PayPal have transaction fees deducted
(about 3%). Automatic bank deductions, Face Book and checks do
not. 3.) It will be wonderful for the Shelter to have our
"Angel Family" back us up & give us a financial base every
So … we are asking you all to get on
our new membership list. This project is inspired by the “9
Levels of Angels.” There are three “giving” categories
available for your monthly gift:
- ANGEL WING: Our Capital Campaign
is our future. The Wing will provide full service vet care to
all animals, owned & stray. It will also provide revenue to
fund our shelter.
- GENERAL FUND: The
overhead involved in running the shelter is CRUSHING – food
and litter are the biggest part, but electricity, gas and
maintenance are huge expenses. We must pay these bills or
risk being shut off – just like anyone else.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Spay and neuter funds like BOGO,
Show Us the Mommy and our Pit Bull fund. Special needs
programs like the Ricky’s Fund, Valentine Fund for Eyes and
the Care Fund are programs for our dogs and cats that provide
specialty vet services and add comfort for our in-house pets
that are waiting for adoption.

Angels has a vision to help animals and our community
like never before. We want to build a new wing that will
be a model for animal welfare in the state of Ohio. The
Angel Wing will offer affordable veterinary care, allow
us to dramatically increase the number of spay/neuter
surgeries, and it will also allow us to provide
increased care and intake for abandoned animals.
But we need your help! More dogs like Takoda will have a safe place to
grow strong and start their new lives once our building
is complete. We will have more space which will give us
more opportunities to help the animals who need us most.
If you are able to help us complete this mission by
making a donation, please click the link below. Any

eBay for Charity makes it easy for
buyers and sellers to support causes that are important
to them. Buying to benefit charitable
organizations. eBay buyers

favorite charities: Buy items where the
seller has committed to donating all or part of the
proceeds to a charity. Check out
