Dog Adoptions

Viewing and Adoptions are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.  Pre-Adoption Form must be completed and our staff will contact you with an appointment.

Everybody wants a puppy, but in reality, all dogs need a place to call home.  At Angels, we do have puppies from time to time, but we take in dogs of all ages with a variety of stories.  Some dogs are abandoned, surrendered, found and brought to the shelter, transported in to be saved from other counties and states.  Each dog comes with their own unique story.  Dogs are provided necessary medical care, evaluated and observed.  All dogs are spayed and neutered.  Some dogs need to stay with fosters until they are ready for adoption.  With the help of volunteers, fosters and staff, the dogs are given care, taken for walks and offered playtime until they find their forever home.  Our goal at Angels is to find a forever loving home for each dog.  Monetary donations are always appreciated to help cover the costs of medical and day-to-day care.  Simply click the button below to donate today.

We are always looking for fosters and volunteers to help.  We sometimes rely on fosters to provide a home environment for our animals while they are preparing for adoption.  Fosters must be approved.  An application is available by clicking the button below.  Volunteers help with everything from training, exercise, socialization, and cleaning.  We even need volunteers to help with programs and events.  We are always looking for extra hands to keep our animals stimulated, socialized, and well taken care of as we work towards finding them a forever family.

A volunteer application is available by clicking the button below.

Donations are also essential to our success at Angels.  Your contributions, whether physical items or monetary, help us care for these animals as they transition from our loving care to a loving home.  We are also linked to donations opportunities through Amazon, PayPal and even Facebook.  We are still in need of dog doors and equipment at Angels for Animals to make the dogs comfortable.  Click below to go to our donations and memorials page to see the many opportunities still available for naming rights, memorial opportunities

and general donations.

Looking to donate items or take up a collections for community service?  We always have a list of items that we can use in the shelter that help directly with the care of the dogs during their stay.  Click the button to print the donation list below.

Adopting a Dog

All individuals wishing to adopt a dog at Angels must complete a Pre-Adoption application prior to making an appointment to visit with the dogs.  When adopting an animal from us, we will always try to help you find the best fit for you home and family.  Rescuing an animal can be very rewarding, but it can also be exceptionally challenging.  Every animal is unique, and has it's own history that brings them to be here with us.  What these animals need most from a potential adopter is your love and patience as they adjust to a new home and life.  Sometimes that will mean avoiding certain types of toys, other animals, certain situations.  With others it may mean taking them to training classes.  None of us are perfect, and animals are not perfect either.  Pets should be a lifetime commitment with dedication to research the proper care, and needs that each individual pet may need so they can be welcomed into a lifetime home with understanding and patience.  In a perfect world this could be a dream for every homeless dog that has been replaced by a puppy or kitten, or simply forgotten in the craziness of life.  Love and patience play a big role in a successful adoption experience.
