A non-profit animal shelter in Northeast Ohio, Angels for Animals has been making a difference in our community for over a decade.

Since 1990, over 15,000 animals have been adopted through AFA.

Animals receive veterinary care on site in our state-of-the-art medical facility. Approximately 6,000 spay/neuter surgeries are done yearly.

With the help of a large volunteer base, our small staff maintains hundreds of cats and dogs in the shelter or in our foster care program.

Adoption Floor Assistant
Part Time Hourly Position

Make A Difference! Help us control pet overpopulation through early spay/neuter, education, and adoption. Located in Northeastern Ohio, Angels for Animals has been making a difference in our community for over a decade.  We are looking for enthusiastic individals with drive and dedication to help animals and people alike.

 

Job Description:

Working under the direction of management, you will assist with adoptions, intake, volunteer scheduling/training, answer phone calls/ conduct phone calls to fosters/volunteers, help plan/prepare for special events, make appointments for shelter animals, and assist with temperament evaluations on animals, you also will help clean and care for the adoption floor. You will work directly with potential adopters, help screen adopters, educate clients in regards to animal husbandry, at times report to the news about animals up for adoption or events occurring at Angels for Animals.

Hours:
16-30 hours of work per week scheduled with additional on-call weekends and some special events. Scheduled days fluctuate.

Requirements:
-  Must be dependable.
-  Must be computer literate.
-  Must have your own reliable vehicle.
-  Must be self-motivated and capable of taking direction.
-  Must have great customer service skills.
-  Must be detailed oriented, good natured and able to adapt as needed.
-  Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs on a repeated basis.
Must be able to pass a background check.
